Colette Pitcher

Colette Pitcher is an internationally recognized artist, author, and arts educator based in Greeley, Colorado. With over 30 years of professional fine art experience, she is highly regarded for her work in watercolors, multimedia arts, and large-scale bronze sculptures.

In 1996, she opened the Showcase Art Center in Greeley to fill a local void when a previous community arts center closed. The center operates as a creative hub featuring a gallery, art classes, supply store, and studio rentals.

She is the author of several instructional art books, most notably Watercolor Painting For Dummies (2008) and Acrylic Painting For Dummies (2009).

Alongside her husband Gary, who runs Dragon Casting (a local fine art bronze foundry), she has designed and built prominent local sculptures, including the "Every Day a Hero" bronze monument.

She is a signature member of the Colorado Watercolor Society. In 2015, she was honored by the Greeley Chamber of Commerce for her immense contributions to advancing local community arts. Pitcher has conducted workshops worldwide and featured as a demonstration artist on HGTV's television program “That's Clever”.
