Nominate

The Arts Legacy  Hall of Fame is supported by a fair and open nomination process to select deserving individuals and arts organizations to be enshrined with this lasting legacy.  Anyone may make nominations.   The nominees are welcome from any branch of the arts and may include creatives, supporters, and advocates of the arts, and those in leadership positions related to the arts (see the list below).   Nominees, living or deceased, need not be natives of Greeley nor lifetime residents, but nominees must have spent a significant portion of their lives in the community; their body of work, skills, and talents must have had a major impact on Greeley itself while demonstrating excellence in the area for which they are nominated.

The Selection Committee, comprised of current Board members and At-Large Community Representatives, will forward a slate of finalist candidates for each year’s awards to the full Board.  The full board will select up to three winners per year.  All nominees will remain on the candidates’ list until the nominator or nominee specifically notifies the Board to remove that person’s name.

The Criteria used in the selection process will include the following components: Contribution - the body of work established by the nominee

Distinction - the eminence and respect achieved

Influence - the impact of their talents on others

Permanence - the longevity of time involving their talents and leadership

Finalists for the Award (or their designee) will be required to supply the Board with additional information, photos, etc., at the time of selection as a finalist.

This form is the only accepted way to nominate a candidate.  Do not contact any Board member personally about your nominee.  Failure to follow this policy may result in this nominee being disqualified from consideration.
