Rhonda Welch has been a part of the community since 1978. She began her career in Greeley by volunteering for the city’s Cultural Affairs Department for 10 years until she was hired as the house manager/volunteer coordinator of the then-under-construction UCCC. She assisted Public Art Coordinator and Legacy Hall of Fame honoree, Jil Rosentrater for several years. When a position opened for a Festival coordinator, Rhonda was selected.

Prior to her retirement in 2021, Rhonda served as Festival and Events Coordinator for the City of Greeley and has been involved with the inner city workings for 39 years. She has coordinated three of the biggest events in Greeley- the annual Arts Picnic, the Neighborhood Nights program and the Festival of Trees.

She is also a founding board member of the Greeley Creative District. In the Arts Legacy organization’s infancy in 2016, Rhonda served as a committee member to help determine the future direction of the organization.
